No pictures, but a few funny stories I want to be sure to include in the kids' baby book...
We were at the park today, and a little boy came up to talk to us and play with Carter. He was probably 5 or so. I told Carter to tell him his name and how old he was. He said very proudly, "Car Car. I 2." Then, even more proud to introduce his sister, he said, "La la. She 4."
Carter is usually really good about going to bed. He's been in a queen size bed since he was a little over 15 months. He typically crawls in bed, we say our prayer, kiss good night, and we're done. Lately, he's found ways to stall. Sometimes it's that he needs water, wants to read another book or say another prayer. Then he started asking for 'chap' (which is chap stick). The last couple of nights though, he started asking to watch "halfpipe" and "i kate" (ice skating). Thanks, Daddy!!!
Technically, we're still potty training. He can do it. He just gets too busy playing. Carter will actually go tinkle, change his pull-up if he needs it, put on a new one, and come back to play. We've tried big-boy underwear, too, and he does PRETTY good, but... again, gets distracted. Anyway, I'm always telling him he needs to get to the potty BEFORE he has to tee-tee. And then I'll say, "Where does tee-tee go?" And he'll emphatically tell me, "in da pa-pa." Fast forward to tonight... Scooter had been inside for too long - obviously - and couldn't wait for us to let him out, so he started to tinkle by the door. I got so mad and put him outside while I cleaned it up, so Joel put Carter to bed. I went in later to kiss him goodnight. I told him I was sorry I didn't come earlier, but Scooter made a mess. "Bad Goo Goo." I told him how Scooter tinkled on the floor, and he said, " No tee-tee, Goo Goo." I told him it was ok to tee-tee, but just not on the floor. He pointed his finger at me and said, "Goo Goo, tee-tee in PA-PA!"
