MUST FINISH IDAHO! (August 2010)

We started off the morning back at the river to feed the ducks. The kids thought this was fun, and I don't believe that any ducks (or geese) were hurt in the process. However, we did pass a nice sign on the way to the car that said 'please don't feed the ducks.' Ooops.

There was a cute little tree that we found along the way. Someone had cut it down in the shape of a chair. We called it our 'stump jump.' No one wanted to sit in it and take a cute picture, of course, so they just jumped off it the whole time.

Grandma then took us to her "secret beach" spot along the river. Clearly Laney was still in her 'anti-sand' phase, and she pretty much gave Grandma a good chewin' the entire time we were there.

Carter, on the other hand, loved it.

We headed over to Grandma Great's house for dinner. Actually, I seem to recall that we invited ourselves over for dinner, but I digress... The kids got to ride trikes and play in the sprinkler. and popsicles. Yummy, sticky, drippy popsicles. I lost count of how many they had.

The sprinkler started off as a little fountain that a ball would balance on. It was really cute. Soon, they became more experimental. Obviously nothing floated like the ball!

We had a GREAT trip in Idaho and are looking forward to going back this summer.
The next day we hopped in the car and drove to Salt Lake. From SLC, we flew to Denver and then home. A long trip, but the kids were great. We were all happy to get home and see Daddy - and get some rest!
