Idaho or Bust - From the Beginning...

We just returned from our now annual trip to Idaho to visit Grandma (and Grandpa for part of the time) at her "mountain house." This was our second year with both kiddos (though we went one year and stayed at Joel's grandparents' house when Carter was little and I was pregnant with Laney), and they enjoyed it even more this time around. I'm going to try to break the trip up so the posts won't get too long, but... LOTS of pictures. I think I downloaded close to 7 or 800. Obviously I won't be posting that many, but it will be hard to pick favorites!

Anyway, the only "bad" thing about the trip (if I had to pick something) is the travel to and from. We had two flights and about a 4 hour car ride before we actually arrived in Idaho Falls. The kids were actually very well behaved on the trip and were very patient with all of the airport stuff. They loved getting drinks and snacks on the plane and watching movies and reading books. Although, I think we spent more time discussing which shows to watch (or books to read) and who was going to wear what set of headphones WAY more than we actually spent watching the movies themselves. They would give me up-to-the-minute updates on how high we were flying as well.

My mom flew up the week before to visit Janet and help with some decorating stuff around the condo (sorry, Grandpa!), so we had TWO grandmas waiting for us in Salt Lake - or as Laney first called it: "Salt Lick Silly." She eventually said it correctly, which made me a little sad. I like her version better. I was SOOOO glad to see them. Joel was able to help us get all of our bags and carseats checked in when we left, but I was on my own after that. Wasn't so bad last year, but being 28 weeks pregnant added a nice little twist to things this time!

We just relaxed a bit that night when we arrived. I got to see all the fun things that grandmas had done to the condo since the last visit and hear fun stories of their adventures.
