I'm surprised our little bug-a-boo hasn't sucked her fingers right off her chubby little hand! I think I can now pass down the 'Little Smack' nickname to her.
She has officially reached the max dose of Prevacid, but she seems to be back to normal after a very brief period of discomfort. She's adjusted well to the medicine, luckily! I took her to the ENT at 2 weeks after noticing some of the same reflux syptoms we did with Carter. Unfortunately for Carter, it was 4 months before he was diagnosed. Anyway... now we know!
I must admit, I'm a huge fan of the newborn age. But, as I learned with Carter, each phase just gets better and better. Laney is interacting more each day and really starting to enjoy her play gear. She (like Carter) will lift her legs really high and slam them down on the mattress in her crib when she wakes up. Not in a fussy way... just a playful way. She kicks the little animals on her playmat and likes to look in the mirror at the cute little girl staring back! We put her in the jumperoo for the first time a week or so ago. I swear Carter lived in that thing. She's actually bouncing now, but doesn't like to be in it TOO long. When she's had enough, she tucks her arms in and just relaxes. Carter likes to play with her when she's in there.
We have nicknamed her 'Chubby Cheekers' for obvious reasons. As I write, she's asleep in bed with her arms up by her head and her little round belly sticking out of her 'Tweet Dreams' pj's.
I could snug her all night....
Her 4 month appointment is in a couple of weeks. More updates then!
