Memorial Day

First let me say that I feel like Memorial Day may be the most 'overlooked' holiday, if you will. I will spare you my political viewpoints, but we are very, very grateful for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy daily. I certainly don't do or say enough to thank those who have fought to make it that way, and it's sad they only 'get' one day of remembrance. For what it's worth - a hearty "thank you and God bless" to those who serve!

That being said...

We did have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Selfishly, I am very glad that Joel is here with us and not overseas somewhere. We miss him when he's gone for the weekend - I couldn't imagine him being gone for months. We were able to spend the weekend with friends and family (who is that scary lady holding Laney??), and of course our little fish got in some water time.

I promise Carter is not wearing a bikini. I'm not sure why his suit is not on, but at least he's in a swim diaper.

Buggy slept through most of the water works, but she did get in quite a bit of playtime, too. She also got to snuggle with Dad as they watched the NCAA Lacrosse finals.
